Class Description:
Sensuously supple rivers of seed beads crocheted into an endless
spiral...
Learn to crochet with beads from the women who learned this technique in a Bulgarian village in 1994 and first introduced it to New England beaders! Once you know how to make bracelets, you can make necklaces, earrings, and whatever other crocheted beadwork your mind can imagine.
In the first session, you learn the basic technique, and take your piece home to work on. In the second session, Martha and Pat share the secrets of joining the ends invisibly, discuss special techniques, and introduce pattern design. They teach the charting method they invented, and they send you home with some of their own patterns.
Advance preparation is required for the two-session course: students will need to string about 2 feet of beads according to instructions that will be provided upon enrollment. Crystal Blue carries everything you need. Please remember to bring your glasses or your magnifier if you need these for working with tiny beads at close range.
All skill levels welcome. Previous crochet experience may be helpful, but
is not required.
Class size is limited to 6 students for plenty of personal attention.
