Crocheted Beaded "Ropes" Clinic: Invisible Joins

(or, What's a Joint Like You Doing in a Nice Bracelet Like This?)

Instructors: Martha Forsyth & Pat IversonPicture of flower bracelet

Class Description:

Anyone who can crochet a "beaded rope" should be able to join the two ends invisibly. If you've learned to crochet beaded ropes, but haven't mastered the art of sewing the ends together to make an invisible joint (or maybe you've forgotten how to sew them together, or maybe you never quite learned in the first place...), our resident experts Martha and Pat can help!

This is a refresher/remedial workshop, strictly for people who can do the crocheting, but need help with finishing. Other problems (such as difficulties in starting) may also be addressed, if there is time and the need.

Bring at least one finished crocheted rope (bracelet or necklace) that needs to be sewn together (required), and examples of joints you've already done (optional), plus crochet hook and thread. Optional supplies include tapestry needles (size 26 or 28) and glasses or magnifying device. Crystal Blue carries additional supplies, if needed.

Samples available for viewing in store.

Prerequisite: crocheted beaded "ropes" experience.

Class size is limited to 8.
