Class Description:

Learn to make this elegant and extravagant Victorian-style necklace, which is deceptively easy. Start with a right-angle weave base, and add a row of simple netting. This necklace works up quickly, and has endless variations. It is sure to get a lot of compliments. This class is suitable for all levels; no prerequisites.

Prerequisite: none

Minimum class size 3, maximum 10.

This class is not currently offered, but can easily be arranged as a private class by calling the store at 617-923-2337.

Victorian Lace Necklace Supply List

• Size 8/0 seed beads, 2 strands
• Size 11/0 seed beads, 2 strands
• Size 10mm or 12mm flower beads, approximately 30 pieces
• Size 6mm or 8mm flower beads (or other shapes), approximately 30 pieces
• Size 4mm accent beads, such as crystals, fire polish, or round, approximately 30 pieces
• Size 3mm beads or 2-cut seed beads or 8/0 hex beads, approximately 60 pieces
• S-hook clasp, if possible with jump rings which can be opened to fit through 2 size 6/0 seed beads of same color as the size 8/0 beads
• Nymo thread on bobbins or comparable, Must be close color match with size 8/0 seed beads
• Size 10 or 12 beading needles, at least 2
• Beeswax (not Thread Heaven)

NOTE: Class sample is worked in a monochromatic palette of blue iris with bronze accents.
Your choice of colors is up to you!
