Vintage, Gemstone, Beaded-Bead, Glass-Bead Bracelet

Class Description:
Compose a bracelet befitting the passionate beader you are. Start by "borrowing" a few beads from Grandmother's broken necklace (or select from our vintage beads). Add a bead or two of your favorite gemstone. Have special lampwork or other glass beads to add? We¹ll use beads to embellish a bead. We'll even use beads to create a bead. Assemble these disparate elements by addressing color, balance and texture. Enjoy this playful day of beadwork, drawing on your skills and developing new ones to create this beadwork showpiece. Knowledge of peyote, Ndebele, brick stitches helpful but not essential.

Vintage Gem Beaded-Bead Supply List

• Assorted vintage, gemstone, glass, and lampwork beads; sizes 6, 10 & 11 seed beads in several related colors; 4mm round or triangle beads and fire-polish faceted Czech beads.


• Thread: C-Lon, Nymo B or D, or PowerPro to match beads.


• Size 10 and 12 sharps or beading needles.


• Light source; work surface; scissors; beeswax/Thread Heaven; magnification, if needed.

Note: Purchase supplies at Crystal Blue or bring your own.
